GR22 is Portugal’s Historical Villages Great Route, a circular trail that currently totals 565 km, divided into 12 stages. Each begins and ends in one of Portugal’s 12 Historical Villages and so you can start GR22 at any one of them, by mountain bike, running or hiking.
